In keeping with our mission of helping our client's improve their language skills so that they can succeed in the global marketplace, fluency offers a full range of Cambridge Certification Preparation (CEP) Courses that start at whatever level our client is when they begin working with us.
Clients whose English is at least B1 can often begin by taking the CEP course that corresponds to the exam they are preparing to take.
Client's whose English is not at that level are encouraged to begin their preparation by taking the appropriate fluencySTEPS course(s) to bring their language skills up to the required level before taking the CEP course.
Our courses correspond to the following Cambridge Exams:
Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
The Cambridge First Certificate (FCE B2) is the most widely-known English examination in the world. The Certificate is proof of the holder’s above average ability in English. It is respected and recognized by commerce and industry.
Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE C1) is an examination which offers a high-level qualification in the language to those wishing to use English for business or study purposes. CAE is also designed to encourage the development of the skills required by students progressing towards CPE (Proficiency), with the emphasis very much on real-world, practical tasks. It is recognized by many university faculties and other educational institutions as meeting their entrance requirement.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
The Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE C2) demands the highest level of language competence of the Cambridge series of examinations for non mother-tongue speakers and is recognized by all international academic institutions. It is accepted as meeting the English standard entrance requirement by the majority of British universities.
Business English Certificate (BEC vantage und BEC higher)
The Business English Certificate ‘Vantage’ (BEC vantage B2) offers a practical examination in business-oriented topics. It is suitable for people who already use English in their profession or for those who are preparing themselves for such a profession and therefore wish to optimize their communication skills. The target level corresponds to the First Certificate in English.
The Business English Certificate ‘Higher’ (BEC higher C1)
The Business English Certificate 'Higher' (BEC higher C1) offers a practical examination in business-oriented topics. It is suitable for people who already use English in their profession or for those who are preparing themselves for such a profession and wish to optimize their communication skills. International Legal English Certificate (ILEC)
The International Legal English Certificate (Cambridge ILEC) assesses English language ability at Levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Cambridge ILEC was created to meet the needs of both employers and lawyers. It is also suitable for law students intending to follow courses which include a significant English language content — either in their own country or abroad.
International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE)
The Cambridge ICFE is set at Levels B2—C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This certificate can be used as proof of the ability in English necessary to work in an international finance context or to follow a course of accountancy or finance study at university level.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Educational institutions, along with employers and government immigration agencies, require proof of English language skills as part of their recruitment or admittance procedures. Increasingly, these organisations are using IELTS.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The TOEFL test is a widely accepted English-language test. Educational institutions require proof of English language skills as part of their recruitment or admittance procedures.
